How to send certified mail with Meta Muse

Certified mail is the errand nobody wants. You print the letter, you drive to the post office, you queue, you fill in the card, you keep a receipt somewhere you will lose it. Meta Muse cannot do any of that on its own, because nothing in the app touches paper. Connect No Errands Mail once and you can say "send this certified" from your phone. One certified page is $2.49 plus $7.50, so $9.99. Muse shows you the recipient, the letter and the total before anything is sent, and waits for your yes.

An honest word about what certified mail is

Certified mail gets you a mailing receipt and a record that the item was delivered or that delivery was attempted. That is all. It is not a courier, it is not faster, and it is not legal advice.

If a contract, a lease or a statute tells you to send something a particular way, read that requirement yourself or ask a lawyer. We can tell you what we send and how. We cannot tell you whether it satisfies your situation.

What you need

• A Muse account.
• The recipient's full mailing address.
• The letter, or the facts Muse needs to write it.
• A card to buy credits with.

Step 1: Get a key

Go to https://noerrands.com/get-key, enter your email, and leave the choice on read and write so Muse is allowed to send. The key is shown once, so keep the tab open until step 3.

Step 2: Paste the prompt into Muse

Copy the whole block and paste it into Muse as one message.

Build a custom connector for No Errands. One API key covers three services:
printed mail (letters and postcards), fax, and appointment booking.

2. Store my API key in the Secure Credentials Store as NOERRANDS_API_KEY.
   The same key works for all three. Never print, log, echo, or repeat it,
   not even partially.
   Send it as the header: Authorization: Bearer <NOERRANDS_API_KEY>

3. Prefer the MCP endpoints (streamable HTTP):

4. Before you mail anything, fax anything, or book anything, show me exactly
   what will happen, what it costs, and who it goes to, and wait for my
   explicit approval. Never act without asking me first.

5. Save this as a reusable skill called "Mail, fax and bookings".

Muse reads our connector briefs, writes its own client, tests it, and saves it as a reusable skill. Approve network access to our domain when Muse asks. You will see a caution notice because Meta does not review custom connectors; that notice is accurate, and we explain what it means.

Step 3: Paste your key into the Secure Credentials Store

When Muse asks for the key it opens its Secure Credentials Store. Paste the key in there, under the name NOERRANDS_API_KEY, never into the chat.

Muse's agent never sees the real key. It works with a stand-in token and the real value is swapped in at the network edge. More about keys and the store.

Step 4: Add credits

Your balance starts at $0.00. Say:

Add credits to my mail account.

Muse hands you a checkout link and you pay in your own browser. Your options are $2.49 for a single letter, or $10.00 for $12.50 of credit (one free letter), $25.00 for $32.50 of credit (three free letters) and $50.00 for $67.50 of credit (seven free letters) -- every pack credits more than it costs.

Step 5: Say the word certified

Say "certified" and Muse passes it through. If you forget, you get an ordinary first-class letter, so it is worth being explicit.

Muse will:

1. check the address against postal records and show you the corrected version, which is free;
2. price it, which is also free, and for one certified page it will say $9.99;
3. show you the recipient, a summary of the letter and the total;
4. wait for you to say yes.

Nothing is printed and no credits move until you approve.

After it goes

Muse gives you a mail ID and an expected delivery date. Ask "what happened to that certified letter" any time and it looks up the status for you. The delivery date comes from the carrier and is an estimate, not a promise from us.

Keep the mail ID. If you ever need to show that you sent something, the ID is how we find it.

Questions people ask

What does one page certified cost?

$2.49 for the letter plus $7.50 for certified, so $9.99 in total. Checking the address and getting the quote are free.

Is this the same certified mail as at the post office?

It is certified mail through the postal system, arranged by our print and mail partner rather than by you at a counter. The difference is who queues.

Do I get a return receipt with a signature?

Ask Muse to price it before you assume. If the option is not offered for your letter, it is not available in this version. We would rather tell you that than let you find out afterwards.

Can I send certified mail to a PO box, or abroad?

A PO box is usually fine, and the free address check will tell you. Abroad, no. United States addresses only.

Can I cancel a certified letter?

Only before you approve. Once it is accepted for printing it is on its way. The approval screen is the cancel button.

What if the address is wrong?

The free check runs before you approve, so a bad address shows up on screen. If you approve a wrong address anyway, it gets mailed there. Email support@noerrands.com and we will tell you honestly what can be done.

Does Muse ever see my key?

No. It goes in the Secure Credentials Store, the agent handles a stand-in value, and the real secret is swapped in at the network edge. If a key may have leaked, email support@noerrands.com and we will revoke it.
