What Meta Muse can and cannot do for everyday errands (checked September 2026)
Checked 24 September 2026. Muse is about two weeks old and changes weekly. Check the date before you rely on a row.
Meta Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. It launched in the US on 8 September 2026 on iOS, Android and the web, and it also works inside WhatsApp (Meta). It reaches other services through connectors: a directory Meta maintains, plus custom connectors that Muse builds for you and that Meta does not review (Meta Help Center).
In short:
- Muse handles the on-screen errands natively: email, calendar, web shopping, restaurant tables, tickets and, in beta, phone calls to US businesses. Reviewers found these less reliable than the demos suggest.
- It cannot do the paper errands on its own: mailing a letter, sending a fax, getting a document e-signed, shipping a package. None of these has a connector in the published directory lists.
- Some limits are by design: it runs on Meta's cloud servers, not on your computer, and you cannot change the model.
The errands, one by one
"Natively" means with Muse alone or a connector in Meta's own directory. It does not include custom connectors.
| Errand | Can Muse do it natively? | Notes and source |
|---|---|---|
| Send and answer email | Yes | Gmail and Outlook connectors (PostFast list). Asks before sending by default (Meta Help Center) |
| Add something to your calendar | Yes, with mistakes reported | Google Calendar and Outlook connectors (PostFast). Slate's reviewer asked for an event tomorrow at 10 a.m. and it landed in the past (Slate) |
| Phone a business | Yes, in beta | US businesses only, rolled out first to people who asked for it, from 16 September 2026 (TechCrunch) |
| Buy something online | Yes, with gaps | Checks out through Stripe's Link (Meta). Slate reports Amazon blocks it (Slate) |
| Book a restaurant table | Yes | OpenTable connector (PostFast) |
| Buy event tickets | Yes | Ticketmaster connector (PostFast) |
| Book a flight | Partly | A Duffel connector is listed (PostFast). Slate's flight attempt stalled at a CAPTCHA and never finished (Slate). Expedia is announced (TechCrunch) |
| Order groceries | Not yet | Instacart is announced, not live (TechCrunch, PostFast) |
| Order food delivery | Unreliable | A reviewer reports Muse getting stuck in a delivery app's login loop (saner.ai) |
| Watch a price and tell you | Unreliable | Reviewers report background monitoring stopping after about 15 minutes (saner.ai, eesel) |
| Book a salon or doctor appointment | Partly | A Calendly connector is listed (PostFast), and it can phone the business in beta (row 3) |
| Turn the lights on or off | Yes, for Philips Hue | Philips Hue connector (PostFast) |
| Mail a letter | No | No mail connector in the directory lists (PostFast) and none among the Connect announcements (TechCrunch). Muse can write the letter. No Errands letters are coming, not live |
| Send certified mail | No | Same as above |
| Send a fax | No | No fax connector in the directory lists (PostFast). No Errands fax delivered a test fax through its API on 22 September 2026. We have not yet run a fax from inside Muse. How it works |
| Get a document e-signed | No | No e-signature connector in the directory lists (PostFast). No Errands sign is the one flow we have run end to end inside Muse (see below). How it works |
| Mail a greeting card | No | No mail connector (row 13). No Errands handwritten cards passed a test order through our API in the card provider's test mode. No card was physically mailed, and it has not been run inside Muse |
| Print and mail photos | No | No mail connector (row 13). Ours is coming |
| Make a shipping or return label | No | No shipping connector in the directory lists (PostFast). Ours is coming |
| Get something couriered across town today | No | No courier connector in the directory lists (PostFast). Ours is coming |
| Work with files on your own computer | No | Muse runs in a cloud machine on Meta's servers and cannot manage local files (Vellum). Meta says Muse on Mac will be able to operate desktop apps, with no date given (TechCrunch) |
| Give Muse its own email address | Not yet | Meta says this is coming "soon" (TechCrunch) |
We offer no product for a notarization. Remote online notary services such as Proof sell to consumers directly, and we do not know of a Muse connector for them.
The one flow we ran inside Muse
On 24 September 2026 we asked Muse to self-sign a document through our sign connector, added as a custom connector. Muse built the PDF and quoted $0.00, because the first self-sign is free. We signed it on our signing page. Muse then fetched the signed PDF, with a certificate page recorded under the US ESIGN Act and UETA.
That test covered self-signing only. Sending a document to other people to sign has not yet been run inside Muse. After the free one, a self-sign costs $0.99 and an envelope for other signers costs $1.99.
How we checked
- 24 September 2026: read Meta's help page on connectors and Meta's launch post. Compared the directory against PostFast's list, updated 23 September 2026. Read TechCrunch's Connect coverage of 23 September 2026 and Slate's review of the same date.
- 21 September 2026: read reviews from saner.ai, eesel and Vellum for reported failures and design limits.
- 22 September 2026: sent a test fax through our fax API. It was delivered. Muse was not involved.
- September 2026: placed a handwritten-card order through our cards API in the provider's test mode. Nothing was mailed.
- 24 September 2026: ran the self-sign flow above inside Muse.
Every "native" row comes from published reporting or Meta's own pages. We did not run those errands ourselves. Meta has not published an official connector list, so "not in the directory" means not on the PostFast list, which is compiled from several sources. It does not prove that no connector exists.
What we left out
- Muse's download counts and app-store rank, because we could not find a primary source for them.
- Which Muse subscription tier each errand needs. Meta's launch post says most of it is free but does not break it down by errand.
- Letters, prints, shipping labels and courier trips from No Errands. They are not ready, so they appear only as "coming".
Questions people ask
Can Meta Muse mail a letter?
Not on its own, as of 24 September 2026. Muse can write the letter, but we found no mail connector in its directory (PostFast) and nothing about mail in Meta's Connect announcements (TechCrunch). Posting it needs a third-party mail service connected as a custom connector.
Can Meta Muse send a fax?
Not natively. No fax connector appears in the published directory lists. A fax service connected as a custom connector can fill the gap; ours delivered a test fax through its API on 22 September 2026, at $1.49 for the first page.
Can Meta Muse e-sign a document?
Not natively. There is no e-signature connector in the published directory lists. On 24 September 2026 we ran a self-sign through our own custom connector inside Muse, from building the PDF to fetching the signed copy.
Can Meta Muse phone a business for me?
Yes, in beta. Since 16 September 2026 Muse can call US businesses, rolled out first to people who asked for the feature (TechCrunch).
Does Muse do these things without asking me?
By default, no. Meta says Muse will not take many important actions, such as sending an email, without your approval, and you can change when it asks in Settings (Meta Help Center).
How current is this page?
It was checked on 24 September 2026. Muse launched on 8 September 2026 and has added features almost weekly since, so check the date before relying on any row. If a row is wrong, email support@noerrands.com and we will correct it and date the change.
