Can ChatGPT mail a letter for you?

ChatGPT can write the letter, but on its own it cannot put paper in a mailbox. Add No Errands as a connector in ChatGPT (Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced, then Developer mode) and it can. ChatGPT checks the address, shows you the letter and the price, and mails it through USPS after your yes.

How to do it with No Errands

  1. Connect No Errands once. Add No Errands to Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client with the address https://api.noerrands.com/mcp and sign in with your email. The steps for each assistant are below. You do this once for every errand.
  2. Add credits if you need them. A new account starts at $0.00. Ask your assistant to add credits and it gives you a checkout link. You pay in your own browser, never in the chat.
  3. Give it the letter and the addresses. Tell the assistant who the letter is for, their US address, your return address, and what to say. It can write the letter with you, use text you paste, or mail a PDF from a link.
  4. Check the address and the price. The assistant checks the address for free and gets the exact price before anything is printed.
  5. Approve it. It shows you the recipient, a summary of the letter and the price, then waits for your yes. Nothing is mailed until you say so.
  6. It is printed and mailed. The letter is printed, put in an envelope, stamped and handed to USPS. Ask the assistant for the status any time.

Questions people ask

Which ChatGPT plan do I need?

You need a ChatGPT account that can add a custom connector in developer mode. ChatGPT shows the option under Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced.

Does ChatGPT see my payment card?

No. You pay for credits on a checkout page in your own browser. ChatGPT only gets the link.

Can the assistant mail a letter without asking me?

No. It must check the address, get a price, show you the recipient, the content and the price, and get your explicit yes before every letter. A read-only connection cannot send at all.

Can I mail a letter outside the US?

Not yet. United States addresses only.

How do I pay?

With prepaid credits. You can buy $2.49 for a single letter, or $10.00 for $12.50 of credit (one free letter), $25.00 for $32.50 of credit (three free letters) and $50.00 for $67.50 of credit (seven free letters); every pack credits more than it costs, and credits never expire. Your assistant gives you a checkout link and you pay in your own browser.
