Can ChatGPT send a fax?
Not by itself. ChatGPT can write the cover letter but has no way to dial a fax. Add No Errands as a connector (Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced, then Developer mode) and ChatGPT gets a real fax tool. It reads the number back, quotes the price, and sends after you say yes.
How to do it with No Errands
- Connect No Errands once. Add No Errands to Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client with the address

- Approve it. Nothing is sent until you say yes.
- It is faxed. The fax goes out and the assistant reports a fax ID. Ask "did that fax go through?" any time.

Does ChatGPT need my API key?
No. ChatGPT connects with sign-in: you type your email, enter the 6-digit code we send, and approve what ChatGPT may do.
Can ChatGPT send faxes without asking me?
No. The fax tool is marked as a consequential action, and the instructions require your explicit approval of the number, the document and the price first.
Which fax numbers can I send to?
United States and Canadian fax numbers.
What if the fax does not go through?
A fax that fails is refunded to your credit balance, once. The assistant tells you it failed instead of quietly resending.
Can I receive faxes?
No. This sends faxes. It does not give you a fax number of your own.
How do I pay?
With prepaid credits.
