How to fax a form to your doctor's office
Medical offices still ask for intake forms, records requests and referrals by fax. Ask your AI assistant to do it: give it the office fax number and the PDF, add a cover note with your name and date of birth if the office asks for one, and approve the price. The assistant reads the fax number back digit by digit first, because a wrong number sends your document to a stranger.
How to do it with No Errands
- Connect No Errands once. Add No Errands to Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client with the address
https://api.noerrands.com/mcpand sign in with your email. The steps for each assistant are below. You do this once for every errand. - Add credits if you need them. A new account starts at $0.00. Ask your assistant to add credits and it gives you a checkout link. You pay in your own browser, never in the chat.
- Give it the number and the document. Tell the assistant the fax number and give it the document as a PDF at a link it can open. A shared cloud drive link that opens without a login works. An optional cover note goes on the front.
- Check the number and the price. The assistant reads the fax number back to you digit by digit and gets the exact price.
- Approve it. Nothing is sent until you say yes.
- It is faxed. The fax goes out and the assistant reports a fax ID. Ask "did that fax go through?" any time.
What to type
Once No Errands is connected, you can ask like this:
Fax my completed intake form at https://example.com/intake.pdf to Dr. Lee's office at 415 555 0123. Cover note: new patient intake for Ada Lovelace, appointment on Monday.
The assistant checks first, shows you what it is about to do and the price, and waits for your yes.

Questions people ask
Why does the assistant read the number back?
Fax numbers are easy to mistype, and a wrong one sends your document to someone else. Checking it with you is a rule the assistant must follow before every fax.
Can I ask whether it went through before I call the office?
Yes. Ask your assistant for the status of that fax and it tells you whether it was delivered.
Which fax numbers can I send to?
United States and Canadian fax numbers.
What if the fax does not go through?
A fax that fails is refunded to your credit balance, once. The assistant tells you it failed instead of quietly resending.
Can I receive faxes?
No. This sends faxes. It does not give you a fax number of your own.
How do I pay?
With prepaid credits. You can buy $2.49 for a single letter, or $10.00 for $12.50 of credit (one free letter), $25.00 for $32.50 of credit (three free letters) and $50.00 for $67.50 of credit (seven free letters); every pack credits more than it costs, and credits never expire. Your assistant gives you a checkout link and you pay in your own browser.
